Weekend over

Dave cancelled his stag night, it wasnt going to be a big affair anyway, we ended up in lefteris having a greek just jean and I. Sunday took a long walk to get the car and I walked back through the woods. In the pm off to try shirt and waistcoat for wedding then tescos, lime street and pick ally up. She had a good time then it was off to Browne for the old dodderers 50th. Good to Sheila and Bill and the rest of the gang. Janes sister Pam weirdly reveals she met a bloke doing bariatrics from Liverpool at a conference in Telford a few years ago - yup it was me. Made a show of meself by getting drunk but amused Anna Mikes youngest.

Orthondist and ginger

I find myself in the orthodontist with ally making progress and a date for the metalwork to come off. Seems about time too. Worked hard both ally and the orthodentist. Decided I don't go to the next one as its impressions. More vibe coming in about the DVD and its univerally good. The NY trip seems on again. Who knows if it will happen. Though the involvement of jane de ville almond sounds for a good craic. I drop ally wander round asda then find myself in a caff called ginger. Apple pear and blackberry juice and chicken enchillada.

Found this on the RCN web site

Nursing Standard Nurses of the Year 2003
07/02/02
As chair of the forum, I have had the privilege of judging the gastroenterology and stoma care category of the Nursing Standard Nurse of the Year Awards for the last two years.

The job of shortlisting finalists was as difficult this year as last. The many nominations highlighted a wide range of achievements, often from the simplest of ideas. The panel of eight judges found it impossible to decide on one winner and finally agreed that both finalists were equally deserving of the award.

Though diverse in their specialities, providing services which have grown to accommodate extremely different patient needs – both Jill Marshall and Ken Clare were equally passionate and determined in their efforts to provide a quality service and support for their group of patients.

Jill works as Stoma Care Nurse Manager for Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Her work with patients suffering from bowel dysfunction has highlighted their feelings of isolation and poor quality of life. As a result of a chance meeting with a German stoma nurse, Jill investigated the prospect of providing a rectal irrigation service. Since the service began patients have described significant, often life-changing improvements and, due to its success, Jill has had to relocate and re-equip her clinic to cope with the increasing number of referrals!

Jill describes this extremely embarrassing and personal condition as invisible and unrecognised; however her work in the field certainly has widespread benefits not only for patients but also in educating her peers!

Ken Clare is Head of Informatics in South Liverpool Primary Care Trust. Although he does not work in the field of gastro and stoma care nursing (yet!), he is ideally qualified to win.

Faced with weight loss surgery, Ken found that reliable information and support for patients like him was impossible to find. He launched a website (www.wlsinfo.org.uk); which allows obese people (who often feel both embarrassed and shunned by society) to access information and advice on their condition and treatment. The site also allows for communication and sharing of ideas and experiences. It now notches up 51,000 visits per week! This facility has developed from a very personal experience into a desperately need service.

Ken’s ability to bridge the patient-professional gap is an inspiration to those he helps and the medical profession that is only now recognising the needs of this group. Both Ken and Jill deny that their work is anything out of the ordinary but they well deserve recognition as leaders in their areas of nursing. Many of you will read their stories and recognise yourselves and your own work. This is the time to highlight your achievements or those of your colleagues. The nomination forms are available from Nursing Standard over the summer months, so look out for them.

Apologies for lack of blog

I have been too busy avoiding the papparazi following of 15 minutes of fame on Granada Edition. It went well - I think and independent critical feedback was good. I dont think I looked a complete twazzock, and I even sounded credible in some scenes.Worked on Tuesday, went to Grandmas watched it from behind the settee. Ann the PR lady from Abbey Sefton rang in a very pleased PR sort of way. Got home and Frank rang, mum and mary were pleased. Now giving copies of the DVD to the poor souls who missed it or who just want to watch it again. I have used it at work with three patients who had missed it. Most touching feedback was from Hakim the resident doctor at Abbey. He was gushing with praise for it.
The American media project seems to have gone dead. To be honest I am not bothered. These media folks often are the type who think you will do anything to please them, like miss your brothers wedding, your wifes birthday or start your holidays early. No way mate. So its a big no from me.
Went into work on Friday and quite touched they have had a badge made for me. Busy day got measured up for glasses and bad news I am going vari-focal, but when he put the reading bits in front of the glasses the printed word interested me again.
Sorting out the AGM for the charity. Thats going to be busy I guess.

Mosspits Lane Schools I ride past here often. Nice little site home of Mrs Bray, and an excellent example of a little bit of a huge org doing innovative work. No doubt some IT jobsworth will shut it down soon because it doesnt conform to some crappy guideline.

Integrated transport system my back side

So there I am at stand 3 waiting for the scheduled 86A which is due at 15.55. It never comes. I hop to the bus stop. Oh we aint going in there till we have to says the driver.

On the Birmingham train.

Got off Merseyrail at lime street now I am bound for Liverpool South Parkway on a nice new air conditioned citilink train.
Very nice. Taking this circuitous route to go to Tesco to get some shopping in for tea. Not a clue. Last night had some prawn salad with baked potatoes of the marfona variety. Alledgedy grown for baking, they were superior spuds. Feels funny sitting on a posher train to go to Tesco. Just passed edge hill home the famous liverpool euphemism for coitus interuptus. Getting off at Edge Hill, is the time honoured saying. I do the blog to distract me and focus my anxieities. On someting else. Had a haircut on the way back from the university.

Bebington not Brombrough

You old fool. I can't help it.

Slow train from chester

I found the uni, got a bit stressed, new journeys can be hard, even when I am relatively euthymic I have a background anxiety about travelling. Kevins office is on the seventh floor with a top view across chester and the campus to the hills of Wales.
Interview goes well, with a guy called Steve sitting in. Got a day booked in for September.
Getting nervous about broadcast of this documentary tomorrow 7.30 on granada by the way. Always a nerve racking time. Just passed Bromborough home of Noreen who I must contact, and its reminded me I need to check Mary B knows the meet is Thursday not Tuesday. Need to check when my permitted work is this week too. I expect it will be tomorrow.

On a train to Deva.

Somewhere under the Mersey. Busy weekend, had a committee meeting saturday at the east midlands meet. Got loads of business sorted. Some of which were major headaches. Two bigones AGM, (Liverpool 14th october I think) and my new position as bariatric nurse at Abbey Sefton Hospital. Social craic as ever. Fiona is sort of Billy Connollys sister I surprise myself by chairing the meeting well. I am helped considerably by comprehensive notes on the PC.
So plan is that I continue in protected work then move to either self employed or working for Abbey. This morning finds me off to Chester to meet with prof Kevin Sykes from the centre for exercise and nutrition studies at chester university. Trying to land a teaching gig there on the new MSc in weight management. Would do it if I could afford it but to be honest 4.5k is a bit beyond personal means. I may do a module or 2. Who knows.

Stood in max spielmann

Waiting for me snaps. Been a lot of back and too between me and Rachy. Still at least I am out and about. Got half the fotos but the printer machine has gone off. The nice lady has booked an ASAP call to fuji colour.
So I mooched along to tesco. Had a nice chat with the fish monger got some squid monkfish and raw prawns. Need some more bits to make paella. In the absence of a paella pan I muse on the correct pot to use. Jean suggests some options and between us we get there. Now need some chicken and a few bits. Will get there in the end.

On the 78

Served by an angry girl in subway. After three corrections I decide ally will have to make do. Compare and contrast with the excellent service in tesco and costa. Then on the 78 not sure where it goes but hey ho. Feel inspired for fishy salad lunch and then shop and cook this pm.

Time with Peter is useful

I realise how far I have come little has outwardly changed I take the pills but I am more at ease with diagnosis. Feel grounded. Lady from TV about US job tries to get me. I am busy. Voicemails cross. So subway sandwich for ally. Meanwhile I blog at Costa coffee behind the cathedral and chill. This afternoon is mow the lawn time. I am gonna swoop to Tesco express amd get some nice bread. Meanwhile a medium black americano with an extra shot and glass of iced water does for me. Need a pee and my tablets when I get in.

Get up late

And don't realise I have a meet with peter kinderman. Anyway on the bus thanks to my newly renewed travel pass at 9.50 for appt at 10. Need to pick up a bite to eat on way too.

Thursday pm

Home then nip to tesco, put together a goodly chicken salad then its off to Beas. We bore people with Spanish tales then home. Meanwhile Ally has arrived. I busy myself on pc and go lo-cal and alcohol free again. Sort out quite a few things on the site bathe and so to bed.

Bipolar Trial steering group.

The ham salad was nice just that that was all it was am salad.
Trial steering group people were fine. Though speaking into a intercom is odd. Meeting went well though.

LMI and wigwam

Nip in to town with an hour twenty to kill. Decide to join the LMI scary lady on reception clearly horrified by my shorts and caz garb. This makes me more keen. Perversely. She says I will have to get someone to nominate me. How about John McKean says I. Former treasurer. Clearly I wasn't supposed to know such insider gen. I swoop to paddy wigwam caff for a cold mixed meat salad which is ham u shame.

Done an hour at me mums

Worn out by earole abuse about losing second bus pass from Mother. Its worse because she's right of course. But that makes no difference. Give her holiday presents two packs of bingo markers from braintree market. Two RNLI pens Harwich, a pack of large number RNLI playing cards and piece d'resistance - a holy back scratcher from Montserrat. She's pleased. I talk to bus pass lady who is kind, obviously her kindness precludes from front desk duties and I will be systematically humiliated next week. I buy a save away then my sagely ma tells me its only good for off peak travel grr. The suns getting hot and I take a sizzling top deck on an Arriva 86 to town. Bipolar Trial Steering Group today. A surreal affair where only some participants are present first since my sub arachnoid haemorrhage.

Tuesday in the AM

Up early and off to the job centre. Thanks to the benefit of blackberry knock off some fone calls and emails on the road. Realise blog is unreadable on blackberry and its no longer getting emails. Breakfast in McDonalds making calls from a corner. Clearly look bananas nowt new there.
In to see Liz my job broker from the shaw trust. Good session we explore my possible progression to self employment. I need to inform Eddie my incapacity man that I have been off sick. But am now returned to my permitted work. Jump the Garston circular and end up near my old primary school. Need a pee, a coffee , and a blog so end up in Bridge chapel. Hiding from mum if truth be told. Mary is due at 12.30. So I can just about manage an hour alone. Got the bipolar trial steering group meeting at 2.30.
Interesting media project in USA still simmering in background. I suspect not much will come of it. Still need to contact Simon Banks, to tell him NW meeting date has changed. Probably oodles of other things to do to. I don't know if its me or has bridge chapel moved round. Reception looks in a different place. Its a funny gaff ex school now church and victim support adult learning centre and trust staff base. Heather Tweedle of blog notoriety the Saab Superintendent of physio. Tis 11.35 and procrastination must end.

A blog catch up

Been busy last few days. Finished last evening in milsomms. I had a good fish and chips. Went to bed and woke late to a room service breakfast. Head for stansteads via braintree where we mooch. Then we hit stanstead and wait for Ally she's had a fabby time. Loads to show and tell. Slow weary tired journey home. Sunday bit of a blur. Monday Jeans coff had detiorated and she's off to the Docs. Granada send a man on a bike for some pics of me. Its first day of editing for Rachel so I am a bit nervey one week till transmission. Me I speak to Lesley and I am off to work. Top banana. Couple of patient calls. Couple of face to face and a chat. Get on top of things and things feel ok. Get home and get busy catching up.

Friday, what to do.

We head off to harwich following tea at the essex rose tearooms. We buy jam for people back home. The caff gaff is owned by Tiptree preserves. Then Harwich aiming for the pier restaurant. We have a mooch round Harwich. Surprised to see its the home of the lighthouse boys at Trinity House. (But not muich else). I do a crab for starters, Jean goes prawn and crayfish. Mains I do skate wing with lemon butter and capers. Jean goes for lobster mango and rocket tart we share chips and salad .
Puds are out again jean goes rhubarb and berry crumble, I opt for hot pecan pastry with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup.
Another walk around a rather dull town. Look at the high and the low lighthouses now both museums. Then back to Dedham, couple of pints in the sun inn and jean drives us home. Couple of nice drinks jean kips I watch 20/20 cricket lancs v Yorks. Yorks are gits ( nowt new there) David Lloyd commentating is completely barking.

Griffs dog sat next to us

Mr Rhys-Jones was in the restaurant last night. I nearly said how was around the world in 80 days but that was someone else. Any way he spent a lot of time on the phone. The dog was very nice.

Thursday in the pm.

We decide to eat at Milsoms the hotel bistro. Its nearly full but two tables left one in and one out. We continue our al fresco plan. Good menu range and a few specials. We opt for the chefs mezze for starters.
A pleasant selection of tastes, anchovies (that could have been herrings), sun dried tomatoes (fab), crayfish, squid, hummous, some sort of aubergine paste, parma ham, two types of olives, and probably something else.
There was a yummy brown bread too.
Then I hit an open faced mussels with spinach and cream thing. Jean went for a duck breast with yam and sweet potato crumble. Both very good. Bit wary that we don't get a bill and might end up paying for everyones. Not sure on the scenario for the am jeans just in bath. Ally rang she saw THE wailers at a free gig last night. I am enjoying brain matters.

Thursday Colchester.

Wake up late to plan. Good kip though a waking hotel/restaurant is a noisy gaff.
Get the Grauniad and head for an AM snack. We split a bacon butty and a croissant. It says stack of bacon sarnies but I am presented with a double decker (of the finest bacon). Pricey but good. The we read papers and off to Colchester. Get a bit lost but get there in end. Well planned historic old town. We shop for books I pick up brain matters adventures of a brain surgeon, by Katrina S. Firlik. I had heard it on BBC R4 book of the week. Already made a good start. Ally rings up while we are in the Colchester castle park she is having a fabby time apart from getting tea gassed last night. French footy fans apparently. Then of to the sun inn at dedham for a pint and a bite of lunch. I opt for pork chop sage and butternut squash. Jean has tuna steak with peppers. Then we have a pleasant walk along the river stour, couple of scary cows but otherwise its funky and peaceful. Back to the hotel Jean kips I blog read brain matters and turn my stomach with the daily mail.
Pint of Greene King IPA in the garden for me. Bliss. Wake jean up now. Eating here tonight - I have a hankering for offal.

Fantastic stuff

Off to the Talbooth tonight, check it out at http://www.milsomhotels.com. Fantastic looking venue and menu. Get there and the place is ruined by three obviously well heeled business men worse the wear for drink gobbing it off. Too much mouth too many f words and not enough restraint. It brings home the contrast of our European tour. The staff go into hiding. It is a shame a perfect meal has it first two courses ruined by numpties. They become more stubborn when asked to tone it down and leave. And I note louder.
So they bring lovely hors d'oeuvres anchovy pastry, quiche thing, tomato and mozzarella and little quiche thing. Very impressive all round. VAT and G+T to start, cava with the first course. Smoked duck breast with rillettes and duck roll with pomegranate reduction. I had salad of crab jerusalem artichoke and loster. Mains were duck breast rosti potatoes and greens for me. Jean had organic sea trout. With other stuff well nice. Had little pot of veg. Puds after a long wait were exuisite. Jean a lemon souffle with vanilla ice cream and contreau, I had a peach melba. Coff and handmade chocolates to follow, served by the river. Very nice courtesy car both ways. Pricey but the food and location were poor. Didn't complain to people who were about all the management dissapeared. Jolly poor show the leadership showed in dealing with the drunk. I guess they were spending a heap of money on over priced booze, top of the wine list was the 1966 dom perignon at 700 notes a bottle. Anyway chav white wine louts aside it was perfect.

Going home.

Room service brekkie taxi messing. Anxiety getting to airport. Sweaty nervous bit of a hypo. Cool once on air con plane. Bit late coming home but get there in the end. The desalis bus is off the road but a young lady in a scenic picks us and an old couple up. Nice drive to Dedham a bit of rain but we find Milsomms and all is well. Cool room named after a local business who I will find out more about. Papers in longe telegraph and mail. Nuff said. See walliams has swum the channel for charidee. Takes the sting out of the world cup he says. We mooch into dedham find a co-op a cash machine a free house pub all is well. Looking good smack in constable country.

Last night.

Planned to do something special so look out the rough guide and head off to port olympic in search of somewhere special. Knockbacked in several good gaffs. Then its off to some sort of megaplace but at least we get to dine out at the side of the med.
Jean goes for insalata meditterean and I hit boquerones vinagrette. Jean has the catalan fish stew for mains and I do grilled fish and seafood. Tres bien. Razor fish cuttle fish squid sea bass salmon gambias langoustine clams and nmoules top banana. Jean has a sorbet I have a celebratory port. Off to. Bed.

Where eagles dare

Cable cars always remind me of where eagless dare. I expect to hear a thud on the roof. Whoich is the main reason why until today I have never been in one. I bricked it but the 4 minute journey and the view was worth it. Church of the black madonna hmmmm. I struggled with the iconography but enoyed the art opf the gaff. Lunched in the restaurant montserrat what a whopper meal. Tomato garlic self assembly bread. Cheese qnd olives. Some tagliatelle carbonara for me and eggplant and pepper stuff for jean. Then steak for jean and suckling pig with tear of christ sauce. Jean finished off with melon we were stuffed. Mooched round big time. Cable car home. R5 train then two hopt sweaty metros after boarding wrong one. Home and off to the bar beer and sangria. Laundry incident that is soon resolved. Back to room and jean kipping. Me scratching bum and blogging. Hope Ally is having as good a time as us.

Montserrat Tuesday.

Wake fairlly handy. The call from Ruth reassured us last night she had spoken to Ally. Hoping its going wll for her we have a sort of radio silence due to fone and email probs. Metro to place d'espagnya. R5 train to montserrat. Coffe and a pastry. In station tapas.

Monday night

Jean kipped, I blogged and bathed. I scouted the hotel bar and restaurant. Staffed by a nice fella, though no customers and only heineken. We chat while I have a half. He has spent a day and a half in Liverpool and from the look on is face that was clearly enough.
He says nobody eats in the restaurant. We are both aching and goosed and don't want to hit the town again. So we opt for diagonal del mar shopping centre. Figuring its a good option. On the way we stop at a 7-11 similar shop. Choice opf saturdays international grauniad or mondays indie. Indie wins. Get to diagonal and tapas 1 is shut. Reduces us to choice of mc d - ginos or three tapas. These boys know how to do shopping centre catering. We go for the ubiqtuous boquerones. This time its anchovies in vinegar they were tops. Then its the old tomato bread and a bloody huge meditteranean salad (oddly including half a hard boiled egg). Then our main tapas which is a fried fish platter. 2 langoustines calamari cuttlefish salmon whitebait. Delicious. Washed it down with a bottle of cava (frexinet which if I am honest I have always looked down on). Top stuff walk through the shopping centre and home before 11.

Gaudi Monday

Up late metro in. Cheese ham tomato croissant donut. Bank machine cash. Pedrera gaudis gaff. Tea and coffee teraace caff for lunch calmari potato omellette anchovies and russian salad and catalan bread. On to the breathtaking sagrada familia. Bus to stop for amazing parc guella. Heard from ally she is good but foneless. Got lost in park very lost in barcelona jean had delhi belly praise God for libraries. Found the metro one change long walk home ring mum. Both footsore and weary.

Missed out what we did sunday day

After lucnh we bought 2 days bus travel and did all three routes in part saw the main sites. To see where we planned to go Monday. Plan is Gaudi ++++++

There's more holidaying then blogging going on.

Juist better finish sunday. Will have to be more quick notes than full on blogging. Had shower and we headed by metrop to barcelonetta. Several gaffs fighting for our custom. We settled on we both liked. Nice maitre d who took pity on my appalling lack of gastronomic catalan and overflowing wallet. We went for tapas under his guidance, boquerelles, calamari (tentacles not rings). Whitebait, catalan bread and cold steamed prawns. Stop there he said eat that if you are full eat some more. Bottle of white and away we go. Top banana. Back home via line 4 metro.

Sunday, July 02, 2006

Sunday let's buy bus tickets, and use em.

We are knakkered wake up as two frozen fish fingers in the over efficient air con. Bushed its ten am. Decide on an extravagant room service brekkie. Sod it I can't be bothered hang the expense. Its black coffee, juice, bread, pastries, a selection of ham and cheese and preserves. Good start to the day. Suss out diagnol del mar shopping city - coolio. Full of goodies we stock up on lifes essentials ie water beer and wine and mooch back to hotel. Then an enquiry of desk boy. What's the best way to get to town. Nuimber 41 bus or metro he says. Metro we decide we buy a T-10 for 6€ and we are off we miss one but heart break 4 mins till the next. We manage it I swear some women tried to pick me pocket/feel me leg but who knows. Off then a wander past the cathedral and dancing pensioners to La Ramblas. What a street sight sounds the lot. Wander down mooching then try to suss a gaff for dinner all sound advice is eat away from the main street. So we find a square with six eateries and hawk our custom we eat at tobagan. Which was good apart from loud mouthed american chaps talking poop. There is a helpful point and choose photo menu for english numpties so I have a paella with noodles instead of rice and jean has a paella with ham in lieu of chicken. More later I need a bath and shower.

Fiinish off last night first.

Ok it was a chain but it was 11.30 we was knakkered and starving and already turned away from two gaffs. I would have eaten the bones from someone elses KFC. So luigis or whatever it was called did for us. We should have learnt more spanish so wew sat trembling in fear. Nice lady took order for seafood spag for jean and iberian ham and mushroom pizza for me. Wine and beer to wash. We had several why the brits are more obese than the spaniards revelatiopns while we we eating and watching. Home and barcelona stinks the 4star gaff is funky though. Air con is God given.

Barcelona

Well Easyjet was a bit of a farce to be honest. We watched first half of the match outside Boots on the post security side of Stansted. Couple of beers and hailing abuse at the telly and people stood in the way of the telly. At half time we moved up to the gate plane due to leave at 17.55. Final call was issued at about 5,15. We had found a telly in a bar near by. People crowded round the gate to be told. They need two passengers to give up their seats and were offering 250euros, flight next day and free return flight and hotel. There was a rush. Then they annouced a 20 minute delay, followed by an indefinte delay. There was some tremendous furore by some spanish guy who was giving it loads. Surprised the police weren't called. Flight eventually boarded at about 8. Flight uneventful and touched down safely at barcelona about 1hr 40 later. Taxi ride was cool 35€ hotel vinci maritimo is impressive, but offers no food at 11.30pm. We were offered two choices by the guy on the desk. We headed right wandered into two seedy bars that were closing and one of restaurant in similar state. At the back of the shopping centre we found mc donalds and a choice of chain eateries.

Stansted airport

We risked the wrath of the driver from hell and we got chucked out here at 12. Put our bags in left luggage 15quid well spent I guess and scouted pontis for lunch. A model of fast food with healthy choices delivered at good value and a considerable speed. Jean had stuffed aubergine and I had a penne carbonara top stuff. Best described as assisted self service. They look like they are helping you but actually just maximising through put. After lunch we mooch around the shops. Jean gets some cut price sandals, nothing takes my eye. Almost every nation in the world cup seems represented but Brazil a clear second to England.
Buy some coffee read the paper and witness a steamer incident at the coffee shop. Never mind flame throwers a man portable steam dispenser could be an effective antipersonnel weapon. Also our squaddies would have the frothiest cappuccino in town. In fact sod armed conflict why don't we just do coffee making competitions at international level, think about cheaper, nicer and no collateral damage by friendly fire.
Which reminds me reading this week that people are consider Bliars next job. Rumour is fancies himself for kofi annans job. Surely being a lying war mongering git and bush puppet prevents this?

Free sheets and Spurs fan cabbies.

Newspaper was pants dramatic picture of crashlanding belies the fact that Stansteds only involvement in the drama was that it was the poor jets eventual planned destination. Oh and wheelie bins are being rolled out to a mixed reception locally. Holiday fly parking is a major issue. Spose given the cost of airport parking its an issue. I get cheesed off enough with our jewish fly parkers and the tennis club lot.
A local cabbie pulls up and engages me in conversation. He recognise the faint trace of scouse in my accent once he has ascertained I am a bluenose and not a redshite. He was clearly a xenophobe as he commented a place built by poles owned by indians that won't employ English is clearly doomed to fail. I wonder about pointing out that average non academic local is probably in the army or too bevied to work hard but err on the side of cautiopn. He is appalled by the price the fact that breakfast was an optional extra and not even the full english. Shocking or what! It was spectacularly crap I have to say.
It would be a perfect morning suns up light breeze recliner but some git is doing the weeds with a petrol driven strimmer. This holiday feels good already.

You are never alone with a blog.

We have seen Ally off no lopng goodbyes no hugs just sod off ma and pa. The breakfast was rank. Continental catering by the neglect school of cuisine. Even the coffee which despite its innovative estimated time of arrival to drink was pants. The aroma was boysie. Stansted airport was a seething mass of humanity at 8am hundreds of england shirts and uniformed hen parties. Most notable were Donnas chicks in pink tshirts emblazoned with their slogan and presumably the eponymous heroines mugshot. One wore a tshirt with the Hen written which was odd, as looked nothing like the girl on the other tshirts.
The staff at the hotel are weird. The female wears pj bottoms and barelty communicates, Jean says she is French but I am guessing Eastern European. The male whose day I started wrong by asking him to drop us at the airport. Which just happened to be his job, granted he did seem happy playinh hearts on the reception pc.
He exacted his revenge by driving the 2.2K to Stansted like he was still running sex workers across some Balkan border pursued by corrupt spetnatz officers. I shit you not flying will be easy after that boy.
Better go here he is back again.
Nope its ok he's back on the pc. Poor sod has a crap job though to and from stansted airport he's been 6 times since I have been sat in the sun. Only one route I suppose turning peoples guts livens your day. That and trying to beat your own record. I suppose you could factor in roadkill, he did get narked when we got stuck behind the number 7 bus sort of toytown thing. There here is off again. How's my driving it says on the back of his bus. I am tempted to ring and say scary but he has too many scars for my liking.
