NORWEGIAN WOOD FLORIST - THE BEST IN FLORAL DESIGN FROM BRITISH CHAMPION LINDA GLOVER!

NORWEGIAN WOOD FLORIST - THE BEST IN FLORAL DESIGN FROM BRITISH CHAMPION LINDA GLOVER!Best viewed in IE.
Ordered flowers from here are very nice. Nice lady front of shop.
Went to the petshop and off to Tescos. Pick up a taxi and go home then off to the Royal. Ask to see the PALS lady and talk about the process of making a complaint. Wander round and sit in the WRVS talking to a nice lady. Then into J clinic to meet the lifestyles nurse. They organised this when I was in the Royal when they had put the fit down to alcohol.

Let's eat in Woolton.

Having spied out this caff gaff last week during the day we hit it for the full treqtment on wednesday night. We were tempted by the promise of morgans 99.395 two course specialk but the fare was dissapointing in the limited choice. We also found the use of the phrase chukie egg on a menu offensiove in the extreme.
So we hit LE initial welcome was warm and gave way to gushing. The menu s came quickl along with an explanation of the specials which was nigella like in its delivery. This girl had tasted most of the things and was keen (skinny too I must note). Starters were a good range, I was torn between bacon wrapped king scallops and fried chicken livers. Avid blog watchers will be aware of the offal trend. Setttled for scallops and jean had king prawns. Mains a tough choice. I plump for dover sole and jean for red snapper both of the specials board. I have also fancied the full on dover sole but been to scared to try. I tell this to Carlos the gushing owner who offers a tutorial. I am twitchy during the menu as I have realised the identity of the only other diners. Jean oft accusses me of false recognition but I am deffo right and I am scared. It was our ex gardener who is married to sister of our ex cleaner. Jean agrees and we were both jittery. The food was tops served with broccoli carrots and lyonnaise potatoes (note I must google a recipe). My fish was a delight the drinks are cheap and the staff charming. Is this undiscovered paradise. I must note my tasting of the chocolate port a bizarre australian phenomenon. Carlos proudly boasts he is the firrst in the north west to have this. Great meal well done.

A funny weekend

Head still settling. Had wine on Friday night, not sure it makes things clearer but provides a pressure valve. Website turns to pooh but salvation appears on the horizon. Starting to notice some residual peceptual aberrations. Finding the giustatory olfactory and auditory differences odd. Not sure what is an organic deficit and what is functional. Scary at times. Saturday and Ally is out to town shopping Vfor Vendatta. Jean and I head out to the great wall at the top of the road. The food is passable biut the comeduc floorshow is pricelless. We laughed out loud, there was a plumbing problem on the first floor and some fluid had leaked on to the table of two unsuspecting diners. (They unsurpsingly were not happy, the ensuing discussion about the bill was intersting. ). A foul mouthed nurse with a big gob and a three old on a family party of 10 adults completed the night. I drunk 3 pints got tipsy and enjoyed myself. Slept soundly and didn't realise that the clocks had changed!
Sunday lunch at Ruth and Pauls - mothers day and saw Bee there visited my mum. R&P's garden is like a nature reserve watching birds. They get all sorts. While I was at the shop the local sparrohawk came for a visit and sat on the shed. grrr I was cross I missed it.

Hungry horse

www.hungryhorse.co.uk what a larf. This was Mondays lunch venue. Dissapointed that Tate Liverpool was shut we went for a snoop on the wirral. We eneded up in meols at the railway. A very hornby train set looking pub. Nice pint of greene king IPA and a ridiculously large meal. Visit the website for a look. The map is wrong we were in the one they call the netherton. I also see that the meadows in maghull is part of the same chain. We then went to Bidston Moss Tesco for a shop.

Welcome to the Duggie Brown Page

Welcome to the Duggie Brown Page How the hell did I end up here?? Well I saw Lynn Perrie has died and never knew Duggie was her brother. I know am duty bound to search for the band off the Comedians Sheps banjo boys who seem rather depleted and aged. This piece tells the tale of the comedians well.

Winwick Hospital remembered... recollections of the seventies

Winwick Hospital remembered... recollections of the seventies David contacted me today - poor fella was reading my blog. I remember him as one of the pioneers in cpn land. He took me out one day, he used to smoke a pipe as I recall and drive with his knees while he tamped and lit. A brainy chap who was one of the first qualified CPNs in the world (well winwick world).

MEDICAL RULES, English Version

MEDICAL RULES, English Version So I surrendered my driving licence. No big deal for them but upsetting for me.
In the afternoon we took a trip to Woolton, its a pretty village about a mile down the road (mebbe 2). A weird place, still has banks instead of wine bars, very retro, but not intentional just the land that time forgot I think.
We wandered in search of food. I have sentimental ties as we often left Hillfoot school to go to the chippy in woolton for dinner. We ended up eating in a nice caff /bistro called lets eat. I got a very nice green lipped mussel dish for 4.50. Jean scored a vegetarian ciabatta.

looking back at the weekend.

Like any good health professional I have been in deep denial about my own health status. Week off should see me sorted. Do some online digging and feel perturbed, do some talking and thinking and feel odd. Lucky to survive, even luckier to be so little obvious ill effects I count my blessings.
The links below offer good explanations of whats gone on. I begin to get my head round it. Tis a biggie though and it takes time. As a result I find myself resting more than ever on Sunday. I do the am in bed with a small break up for brekkie. Read the Observer and try to chill.
Unable to make Phil Brownes 18th family doo. Part of me is trying to avoid all the explaining. People who last saw me at 30st you look great lost so much weight, why you using the stick etc etc.
I go to Manchester with JK we are taking the display stuff for the WLSinfo stand at the Obesity and Health gig in UMIST. Bianca and Rachel bravely manning the stand. JK as ever is a tonic to my health.

i dont like this bit

Intracranial aneurysms are dilated blood vessels within the skull. Usually, the cause is unknown but people with genetic causes of weak blood vessels are more likely to develop aneurysms.

Rupture of intracranial aneurysms causes subarachnoid haemorrhage and has a poor prognosis. About 30% of people die within 24 hours and a further 25-30% die within 4 weeks.bit of a diagram nice

The traditional treatment for ruptured or unruptured aneurysms involves open surgery to clip the abnormal blood vessels inside the skull.

Apols if I don't make sense in parts (its how I feel)

Sunday

I continue to ask crave and beg release from the pain, all to no avail. I ask about the results of my ct - not available. I continue to whinge and at 7pm they relent and call the junior doc. Oliver arrives - nice guy thorough neuro exam nowt obvious to me. He says he test my cranial nerves. I try to stop myself going gaga by remembering them.

Remembered by the nemonic O O O to touch and feel a girls vagina and hymen
or summat about on old olympus towering tufts

Anyway he goes off to see if he can find my CT results - he doesnt come back but his senior does. He does more of the same neuro tests.
He asks me what I think is wrong with me - I said I am a pessimistic hypochondriac and I think I have had a bleed. You have he says with a stern face.
You could have knocked me down with a feather. You need to go to Walton. Nurse not happy he tries to establish venous access unsuccessfully. Gets a phlebotomy boy - nurse has row with boy over whethyer I need one. I am a tad cross but Peter in next bed ready to start Gulf war 3 on my behalf.
He says he will get a bed soon as he can - Nurse 1 says it will be days, Nurse 2 packs my kit, doctor tells me next bed is mine

Nice bloke and has a laddish outlook on life. Next to me is Arnold who everyone calls by his given name a very old guy he is interesting. Opposite a very deaf man who lives alone and is on fluid restriction, next to him a young boy who seems unable to eat but smokes in spades. A good crew. At 7pm after trundling round the hospital all day I think this aint right I have a headache that paracetamol aint touching. I ask for summat stronger they agree to contact the duty doctor.
Head gets worse no one seems bothered.

Thursday the best laid plans...............

1 minute I am sat at the pc multitaskng sorting out emails, helpline blog and website business.
Next I am smelling incense watching a fireball take shape outside the window before it turns into a space shuttle launch pad.
I hear the words "We have a situation here. "As I spin and fall. To the ground. My headaches and my eyes feel like they are bleeding. My mouth leaks blood and saliva. Sirens phones ringing and voices in the distance. Allys distresswed voice trying to rouse me. I am in some other world one step beyond reality.
Paramedics arrive and I hear voices in the room and I am aware of voice and phone traffic. I hear them talking about a heavy man who has had a seizure in an awkward location. They need some help and another van with a taillift.
Next thing I know me and 3 paramedics headed to Royal. I had anotherfit and hear them giving someone (me IV Diazemuls ). We arrive at the royal amd I am triaged to resus. One scary place for sure. After an exam I am transferred to the CDU(clinical decision making unit). A kind nurse gives me cornflakes, they are divine. Then I get transferred to the room next door. There 10 of us a right mixed bunch.
