19 years married today and 8 months sober today. I am still a work in progress.
There is a bus timetable but the bus just comes when it can. No idea which way this bus goes but I think I know my eventual destination. Hopefully I will get some rays today. There is a light breeze but that could well lift. Got two importanrt letters to draft and need to speak to Bob. Jnust gone past optician still need new varifocals and need to find last years sunglasses. So much to do.

Monday morning back to public transport

Accelerator cable snapped friday night so I find myself in the caff having missed the bus. Getting 86C to town. Plan at least one meeting pick up a digital foto frame then pick up flowers. Going out to Loch Fyne tonight.

One of the blogs I read has become password protected. I don't know the reasons why but I have my suspicions. My own jottings currently contain huge gaps. A couple of aspects of my life are competely unmentionable on the blog. I often envy Tom Reynolds - the ambulance blokey who seems to freely blog about patients. The sphere of my clinical practice is so small that patients (and others) might be able to identify themselves. Secrecy (apart from keeping a confidence) doesn't come easy. Other stuff is happening at work that will be revealed in time. The charity is busy in a lot of ways but moving forward. The pace of the upgrade is slow. Sat waiting to see frank (the doctor). Did I mention Frank the barber rang me last week. Strangely on the day I had been done by Adele. Can't write about why I am seeing Frank apart from I need to get some sleep meds sorted out prior to the walton admission.

Saturday - still trying to get to grips with things

Got headaches and I am busy - not a good combination. Email in box action. Busy two permitted work days - want to come of the incapacity. Done some Joomla stuff this pm and now playing with lightroom. Took Lizzy and Ally to see me mum.

On the Rcn congress

My day didn't start two well. A crash on the M62 at junction 9 (winwick) meant over an hour in a queue. Found the international centre in Harrogate ok. Big underground carpark. Had troub le deciding which bit to go in and ended up needing two passes. Exhibition looked very much like the day the circus went home. To be honest I find exhibiting easier than participating. I mooched around several times then took in a caff. The cyber caff. RCN was a bit prim for me I have to say. Harrogate is twee to. A bit too twee so I didn't chug around it. I did notice a Loch Fyne Restaurant there. I headed for the motorway bradford and scored fish and chips at billy murgatroyds (he was the pensioner end of the harry ramsden empire). In starbucks

Been to tesco done beating the blues. Ally home then off to the petshop for rabbit. Sat in borders was gonna part with 30 notes for a lightroom book. Its damaged and available on amazon for 17. Suit you sir.

Busy boy

Up early for me. Washing frenzy. Sorted tablets need a script. Did some work on website felt positive. Its a nice day despite a cool wind. Just eaten in tesco prior to my 2pm appt with Dave for my computerised beating the blues. Need bird seed too. And amateaur photographer.

Seems a while since I blogged.

Probably that awful nights kip in chester. The talk went well and chester was a lovelty venue as ever and I got to take lots of shots of flowers. Saw john wilding got stuck ina traffic jam on way home. Worked friday only two patients to see but made a lot of phone calls and caught up with people. Staurday dominated by tip trip and feeling tired. Need to do some admin and bottom some chunks of work on the website with Bob.

What do I do and I have no powercord for my laptop. And the telly is broke. Sob sob. My blackberry is low on juice and I miss the website. Can't sleep. Jeans had a long evening her mum aint well and is at the royal. My mind is racing. Trying to remember what I haven't put in the presentation and then working out how best to get access to a pc to finish it off in the morning. Try at the hotel first I think. Then college - maybe library or even the CENs offices. It looks pretty slack turning up on the day with a couple of hours kip and half a powerpoint. By the way I am also sunburnt. Big mad read bone dome. Just need some fried egg in my beard to complete the barking look tomorrow. Note to self frequently check flies.

Easter Sunday lunch at Ruth and Pauls - followed by wtching England getting beat by the Aussies. Dropped Colin off at home - and noticed the circus had come to town so like a madman I was back to the house camerad up and shooting.See results on my flickr.

Thursday - protected work

went to my day job at Abbey Sefton - was busy on the web site when I came home. Bought a cheap duck (sainsbrys taste the difference on the way home. New tripod bag has arrived - quite a spectacular box it arrived in.

Wednesday managing the way sideways

Attended this session at central library - with mr cheerful. After the session went to look at http://www.liverpool.gov.uk/Images/tcm21-82071.pdf seeing the 1207 charter was good even if it was small.
Then nipped to the Walker and saw two exhibitions - http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/walker/exhibitions/cathedral/index.asp about Lutyens cathedral design and http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/walker/exhibitions/doves/ about the hidden pair involved in Charles Rennie Macintoshs' life. Both were good and well worth a visit then strolled into town though found it very stressfull. Went to Lush it stinks in there. Hope via a butty sat in St Johns Gardens. Stopped at the carwash - which must have shocked it.

Blues.

The session opened with a memorable quote from Dave - Accringtons not Liverpool. He was talking to a boss. Session went ok then its home via the tesco carpark. Fish stew and then out to a meeting. Home try to watch a Rick Wakeman documentary but fall asleep.

I never felt less like beatin the blues.

Computerised cognitive behavioural therapy indeed. 3pm at the Swan. Sat in Tescos drinking decaff. What a lazy git I am. Then again been plugging away at website and making calls all morning. Need to write a presentation for the chester gig by friday. That's nearly two weeks in advance.

Work and school respectively that is. Shakespeare is mental but enjoying the sun. I queue in the post office too long. I am intolerant of the post office queue. Over to the shop for a discussion over newspapers get a guardian (had to pay) and the acknowledgement we weren't in debt and the promise of a delivery tomorrow. Its all computerised and it is crap. Still toying with the idea of an online guardian. Jane Browne tells me it started off ok but she has stopped reading it.
Off to see mum in the evening then on to Borders with Ally.

Sunday night.

Out for lunch at Ruth and Pauls took some pics whilst walking down there. Had a play with my tripod need to do some more to get proficient in its use. Spent a fair bit of time on email and web issues.

Saturday East Midlands meet.

Off just after 9 and hit the road. Good clear journey till this mutton head takes the wrong turning, at stoke find myself heading north instead of south. Soon remedied by a u turn and chugging along singing. Got there fine using a combination of googlemap and bupa. Bupa leicester is a standard two storey affair. Off to the oadby owl for lunch driven by vineeta in some posh car. Back and a good meet. A range of folk old and new a lively meet with a good atmosphere. Home via A50 and several photographic stops in laybys. Stop at Keele sevices for a pee and witness a muslim couple at prayer at the side of the road. Would have made a great pic but even I realise its intrusive.

Let me explain, today I went for a barium meal. Primarily to check my pouch size staple line and emptying. I spent the morning nervously trying to avoid forgetting I was 'nil by mouth'. I went into work and set up the pvr for the cctv. Then there was a staff meeting. There was free butties and drinks. That was tough. Then off down to see margaret the silent sentinel who guards the reception desk at x-ray. Wait 15 mins and a radiographer shouts clare kenneth. Being used to this I ask her does she mean 'Kenneth Clare' she looks at me in a puzzled way. Not as puzzled as Clare Kenneth will look if I ever meet her.
Anyway get in that cubicle strip off including your pants and leave your shoes and socks on gown that fastens up bqack. I emerge with bare arse on view. 'You have taken your underpants off she says accussingly' yus I say sheeplishly. I nip back into the room. Nice lady though she clearly thinks I am a mad perve. She makes up a trolley of potions. Doc has an intersting talk trying to read what's on the form and me trying to explain my re-plumbing. He gives me b uscopan IV and then some powder followed by lemon juice. Don't burp he says after giving me a CO2 factory to swallow. Then its horrid barium lie back take pictures. In pops Mr Kerrigan who conveniently had a pp in the dept. Looks fine says he. Good job coz it looked crap to me. Off home she says don't worry if your stools are chalky and white and watch for constipation.
Bit of work only two patients then off home. Out for tea to Tavern for texd mex type thing then off to Beas.
