Chris Oliver Blogspot

Chris Oliver Blogspot Happened across this surgeon who was banded in February. Good read.

Friday

Yesterday was a death by duvet day. My sleep wake cycle is out of kilter. Iwas up till three last night watching crimson tide one of my all time fave movies.
This morning I am at Broadgreen with my mum. Seeing her cardiologist or rather his registrar. Mum explaining in her roundabout way her history and the poor guy looking flummoxed. Now sat waiting in phlebotomy queue. An appointment for an echcardiogram is to be sent in the post My I had forgotten the waits in the NHS. Plan to scoot to the post office on the way back. Also need to buy a pen drive. I fear mine fell to bits and I have lost the required part to rebuild it.

White bull

On the way back from the museum via the bath house I take picd of the white bull. The owner accosts me and tells me of a fox worth photographing inside. I get talking to the owner his wife the barman and their child. I take pics and end up eating here. Turns out he was paul heatcotes head chef and she was general manager at his longgridge gaff. I stay for tea. Duck and chicken sausage and cassoulet of duck. Top stuff.

Carmen rose Ribchester

The carmen rose english tea rooms ribchester. Tea and tea cake. Now off to roman museum.

Day off

Much earned and appreciated. Got to be up in Preston for the opening of the west lancs group later. A friend told me about Ribchester and whalley abbey. But priorities. Need a haircut so here I am in cafe 23 armed with cafe and blackberry. Taking stock. I have a new photo project in mind. Of which more later. I feel black and white being involved too.

Thursday

In to the conference centre hear Mr K talk about the sutureless port and some other presentations on bands. Light lunch ouside then into the AHP stream. Heard some good presentations topped off by a star session from Jane around the use of creon. A long tiring day. We went to casa aleixia a small family run restaurant where we were served a memorable meal. I had boiled octupus with a parsley sauce followed by a melt in the mouth roast veal. Pudding was an egg bread sugar cinnamon treat. Delicious meal.

Wednesday night

Ate at a lovely place casa branca on the shores of the atlantic. Pretty hor d'oeuvres, and some mixed starters. Mostly mussels squid and prawns. For mains I chose turbot very nice.
